today in DS...what is DS?!

from a discussion in class today...this is what our working definition of Design Studies is, for the senior DSers at least.
skills:
adaptable process
write/communicate with or for diverse audiences
gather and synthesize disparate information

goals:
find new relevant problems,
connect design to outside fields
change behavior or ways of thinking

products:
understanding for how designs fit into larger systems.
novel frameworks for understanding information
these products may be more traditional graphic or physical designs or a design for a system.
